What is soft washing and how does it work?
Soft washing is the opposite of pressure washing, we like soft washing for cleaning roofs because it is much safer and more effective than pressure washing.
Soft washing is the process of using cleaning solutions to break down the dirt and algae instead of using the mechanical cleaning process of pressure washing.
Soft washing is use for removing lichen, moss, algae, mold, and bacteria.
Soft Washing is great for removing the green moss you can see in the picture above. When applied, the algae and moss will begin to turn white and fall off with a low pressure rinse down. Sometimes two coats of soft wash a required to properly clean a roof.
